Last week I was contacted through flickr by a design company in the UK. They were interested in using one of my self portraits on a promotional poster for a dance festival in Leicester. The best part about it was they were willing to pay for the usage. Too often people or companies initiating contact through flickr do so in a very unprofessional way, and want things for free, so I tend to ignore these sorts of things. I’m glad this time the situation has worked out so well, and I love the final version of the poster.

It amazes me to realize a photograph I spent about ten minutes setting up and shooting has paid off so well. I actually took it to cheer myself up at the time.
